A Preauthorization claim can be created for any patient with insurance after the treatment plan has been entered and saved in DAISY. If a Preauthorization claim is printed at your office prior to Daily Closing, it will not be transmitted to DAISY, so you will need to mail it to the insurance company.
Creating a Preauthorization claim:
- Open the Treatment Plan screen for the appropriate patient
- Click the Tools drop-down menu
- Select Preauth Treatment
- Click the checkbox of each procedure to preauthorize or click on the Select All button
- Click the OK button
- Select Yes on the Confirm screen to view the claim detail if modification or additional information is needed
