A Preauthorization claim can be created for any patient with insurance after the treatment plan has been entered and saved in DAISY. If a Preauthorization claim is printed at your office prior to Daily Closing, it will not be transmitted to DAISY, so you will need to mail it to the insurance company.

Creating a Preauthorization claim:

1. Open the Treatment Plan screen for the appropriate patient
2. Click the Tools drop-down menu
3.  Select Preauth Treatment
4. Click the checkbox of each procedure to preauthorize or click on the Select All button
5. Click the OK button
6. Select Yes on the Confirm screen to view the claim detail if modification or additional information is needed
